They decided to keep the name 501st Legion, to show their status as the best clone army in the Republic. However, the 3rd Systems Army was renamed the Orange Systems Army.

- Terix, Rolviper and Passik discover in their investigation of Coruscant that they cannot get into the room in the Republic Military Armies Barracks where the UCDC designed Republic military vehicles and weaponry. The room was clouded by the Force, which the Empire already knew. The only people that could get into the room without an invite were the members of the UCDC, General Nawder, and members of the Jedi High Council. Anyone else, including the chancellor of the Republic, and designers from Kuat (the Republic's primary war manufacturing planet) had to get permission to enter the room. The UCDC's dwelling is impossible to break into. No one can Force Teleport into the dwelling, and the entranceway is designed to know who is trying to enter the room. The entranceway forbids anyone not registered on its system to enter without the permission of Nawder, the Jedi Council, or the UCDC. If one tries to break into the dwelling, an alarm will sound and the room goes into lockdown. No one outside of those who have permission to enter the dwelling can sense the projects going on in the dwelling, because the Jedi Council clouds the room with the Force.
