Battle of Concord Dawn: Concord Dawn was the most populous and powerful of the Mandalorian colonies, and the Empire only attacked it after taking over several other planets in the Mandalorian Sector from late 527 ABY to early 528 ABY. With the death of Commander Keadu during the Battle of Mandalore, Captain Rixum became the Brevet Commander of the Concord Dawn Army. The army's ranks had been replenished since the Battle of Mandalore, back to its 4 million man total. Rixum's army fought a two front war. About one eighth of his troops (500,000 men) fought with him to protect their hideout. The rest of the army fought a battle against the rest of the Red Empire's forces nearby and inside capital city. The Empire was backed by the Mandalorian colony on Denon, and quickly wiped out all of the members of the Concord Dawn Army that were protecting their hideout, including Rixum, who was killed by seven-year-old prodigy commander Dranel Bensun (the son of Barx Bensun and Jennu Callipo-Bensun, and the younger brother of the late Filpoq Bensun). A few hundred members of the Concord Dawn Army who were protecting the Capital City surrendered after most of their forces were killed and about a quarter of the city was destroyed. Thousands of surviving members of the Concord Dawn Army were imprisoned on Lola Sayu and Denon, while the rest of the surviving members of the Concord Dawn Army bowed down to the Empire. Control of the planet went to the Empire, who quickly started to populate it with many of their citizens including members of Denon's Mandalorian colony of Mispols.
Battle of Naboo: The reason that the Red Empire wanted Naboo was because of its powerful Bravo Squadron. The squadron used Naboo N-8 Starfighters, and where amongst the best in the galaxy. (The Naboo N-8 Starfighter's primary exterior differences from the Naboo N-1 Starfighter were that they had four launch tubes the N-1s two, and could fly up to a few hundred kph faster than its predecessor could.) The Empire knew if they could defeat the squadron or force them to defect to the Empire (as well as the Gungan Army), they could take the planet relatively easily. The Empire also hoped that the Republic would not destroy the Naboo N-8 Starfighter factories, so that they could use them for other planetary invasions. The Empire dispatched several million droids and troopers under the command of Commander Kiul Qurnonth and his loyal Togruta female colonel Karwa Daxtal to Naboo. The 500,000 man strong Bravo Squadron tried to fend off the Empire's attacks to no avail. Every member of the squadron including Commander Athzari were killed during the battle (which occurred partially in space, partially in the atmosphere). However, Commander Athzari did take out countless Red Empire droids, pilots, and a Red Empire Star Destroyer before his demise. During the battle, much of Theed was destroyed between bombings done by Rampage Squadron pilots under the command of the Empire's new pilot captain. Zhorin, and droid and starfighter crashes. Meanwhile, the Gungan capital city of Otoh Gunga was completely destroyed during the battle (again by Imperial bombers under the command of Captain Zhorin). Much of the Gungan Army, as well as the Naboo forests were destroyed before the Gungans surrendered to their opponents: Commander Kiul Qurnonth, the Togruta female colonel Karwa Daxtal, and the Iktotchi major Valdrian. (The Empire's forces during the battle included 16 Red Empire Star Destroyers, of which six landed on the ground to blockade the Gungan Army, a few more flew above the forest battlefield blocking avian escape, while the rest were in the sky battle against Commander Athzari and the Bravo Squadron) . After the battle, the Bravo Squadron was reorganized into the Royal Naboo Squadron.
Battle of Coreilla:
There were a few reasons that the Empire wanted Corellia. First, it had the powerful X-Wing Squadron (who used the T-95 model designed in 220 ABY, which had been upgraded several times since). However, despite these upgrades, they were still considered to be outdated since their last upgrades and improvements were done back in 432 ABY. They squadron also used the far newer T-125 X-Wing Starfighters, which were debuted in 490 ABY, but really started to become popular after the fall of the Togruta Empire in 501 ABY. Nevertheless, the T-125 X-Wing was still considered to be outdated by 528 ABY. Despite these starfighters being outdated, the Corellian factories continued to make them, and they continued to be the primary force protecting the planet. The Empire's goal was to eliminate this squadron, and seize all of the Corellian ship factories. This meant that they wanted to take over the factory that built the T-125 X-Wings, as well as the factories that built the hundreds of millions of Corellian freighters, cruisers, transports, speeders, and other vehicles every year. All of the freighters and cruisers, as well as some of the transports had weapons attached to their hulls for protection against attackers. If all of these were being used by the Empire, it would be significantly easier for Empire to win the war since one of the Republic's primary squadrons and one of their most prominent general public vehicle production planets would under the control of the Empire. The Empire's invasion armada was led by Vice Admiral Tiberius Maxsheerio. Maxsheerio had been promoted from colonel to vice admiral after his fleet's victories at Lattooine, Shrionkee, Kohlmo, Pantora, Galidraan, and Korda Six.
The Battle
Vice Admiral Maxsheerio and a fleet consisting of 700 Red Empire Star Destroyers and Maxsheerio's personal flagship the Emperial Class Destroyer the Destructicon headed towards Corellia. Upon their arrival, the Corellian Command Fortress picked up the Empire's fleet on their Holoprojector, and they sent Commander Dalnyza Agamash and the X-Wing Squadron (2,000,000 Pilots) from the Corellian capital of Coronet City, to intercept the Empire's forces. Once the X-Wings exited the atmosphere, Maxsheerio ordered the Imperial Pilots under the command of Captain Zhorin, and his F-7 Falcon Droids to intercept the X-Wings. Eventually, several F-7 Falcon Droids broke through the X-Wing "blockade" with several X-Wings in close pursuit. The X-Wings quickly destroyed a few of the F-7 Falcon Droids causing one to crash into the water near Coronet City, two to crash into Coronet City's cityscapes, and one more to explode in mid-air. The rest of the Falcon Droids destroyed the surviving X-Wings, then proceeded to evade all shots fired from the Corellian Command Fortress. Then, the surviving F-7 Falcon Droids bombed the fortress completely destroying it.
Simultaneously to the Empire's successful bombing raid, thousands of light cruisers, cargo ships, transports, and other types of ships joined the sky battle helping the X-Wing Squadron. For this reason, Maxsheerio ordered his forces to deploy wave two. This proved to be too much for X-Wing Squadron Commander Agamash and her forces to match, and they started to die out quickly (with taking out many Red Empire Star Destroyers, fighters, and lightly damaging the Destructicon in the process). Since the Vice Admiral's plan was working so well, he decided to contact his opponents through an open frequency. During this transmission, he offered Commander Agamash and her forces the chance to surrender and be given fair treatment as prisoners. Agamash's forces refused, and countless more Republic pilots were killed by the Empire, including Commander Agamash, who was killed by Captain Zhorin.
Moments later, the surviving members of the X-Wing Squadron gave into Maxsheerio's ultimatum of surrender or die, and they surrendered. This was all but 500 survivors under the command of Captain Durkano, who made their way through the barrage of fire coming from the Destructicon, and jumped into hyperspace towards the planet Kuat. The rest of the surviving members of the X-Wing Squadron decided to join the Empire (without choice), and the X-Wing Squadron was renamed the Red Empire X-Wing Squadron. Asides from the X-Wings, most of the other surviving Republic ships were destroyed. This was because their crews continued to rebel against Maxsheerio's fleet. With his successful takeover of Corellia, Maxsheerio was once again promoted, this time to Admiral.
After the battle, the Empire's forces started sending troops onto the surface of Coreilla to sniff out any rebellious groups. They came across an independent weapons factory and store that was co-owned by the Nikto male Jaktsri Yok Gravangett, and his business partner the Nikto female Ocherra Shipilliri (both from the Nikto homeworld of Kintan, where they owned a second weapons factory and store). These major Corellian weapons manufacturers and sellers were known to do things their own way. After a brief argument, the Empire's Iktotchi male major Zapfe Nasul ordered their execution for their disobedience.
