Mission to Iego (535 ABY)

*This story was originally written for a creative writing class in college*

Behind the Scenes: While I was working on most of this story, I purposely did not give a name to the vendor who we later find out was actually the general of the Iegoan Army. I did this to show that his name is not really important. That is specifically why I had Haedus tell General Kamuulican that it did not matter what is name was. The main point me doing this was to simply show that although in the grand scale of everything, the Solaris siblings are the bad guys, they are the heroes of this story and Kamuulican, who worked for the Republic (the real "good guys" of the war) was the villain. Therefore, by not mentioning his name until the end of the story, I emphasized the point that the General's name really didn't matter overall.

The Solaris Family

  • Helun Solaris (383 ABY Mandalore - 470 ABY Stewjon)
    • Helun Solaris's first name is based off of the real life name Helen.
    • Helun was the first member of the Solaris family of note in galactic history. It was because of her that her family and clan rose in power into becoming one of the most powerful Mandalorian families/clans.
    • She joined the Mandalorian Protectors after years of family training in the way of the Mandalorian warriors.
    • Solaris was in the Mandalorian Protectors from 403 ABY - early 409 ABY. At that point, she retired from the Protectors, to secretly become a bounty hunter working for the Togruta Empire.
      • While working for the Protectors, Helun was offered promotions to officer ranks multiple times. However, she declined all of these offers, citing that she preferred to lead by example.
      • During her time as a successful double agent, she pretended to be working for the Republic by helping out the Mandalorians and the Republic during many missions, destroying 1,500 droids made by the Togruta Empire, and killing many people who worked for the Togruta Empire. Nevertheless, her early days working as a Togruta Empire bounty hunter also proved to be just as successful, with her secretly killing 6,000 Republic citizens, of which roughly half were fellow Mandalorians.
    • A few months after resigning from the Mandalorian Protectors, she helped the Togruta Empire conduct a surprise invasion of her homeworld of Mandalore.
    • During the Battle of Mandalore (409 ABY) Solaris:
      • Openly destroyed hundreds of droids deployed by the Togruta Empire.
      • Secretly she set detonators at various spots of the Mandalorian Protectors Fortress, killing anyone who saw her doing this in the process to buy their silence (but not if they didn't see anything, and just saw her in the building. In this case, she pretended to still be on their side.
      • After she detonated parts of the Protectors' Fortress, she aided them in protecting the fortress, taking out dozens of Hawk Droids (the Togruta Empire's droid for sky battles), before the Sith Lord Darth Kirra showed up. At that point, she turned around, and started openly killing her former compatriots, forcing many of them to retreat, while contacting their forces telling the Republic that Solaris was a traitor.
      • Meanwhile, Solaris, escaped under the protection of some Hawk Droids, while Darth Kirra Force Teleported from the scene.
    • Over the next sixty one years, Helun Solaris really made a name for herself as the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, working directly for the Togruta Empire, and occasionally allowing herself to be up for hire by other groups.
    • In 420 ABY she:
      • gave birth to her legendary daughter, future bounty hunter Northa Solaris.
      • ordered the construction of the Solaris Family Palace and encouraged Mandalorian colonization (of her loyalists) in the areas surrounding her Family's Palace. This city became known as Mispols.
    • In 450 ABY, Darth Tagaros (the Sith Lord/Empress of the Togruta Empire) gave Helun the rank of captain, due to her expert commanding, despite the fact that she was actually focusing on bounty hunting, not leading military forces.
    • By the time of her death in 470 ABY on Stewjon, she had made a whopping                    AurebeshSans-Serif credit989,787,749
      • Helun was almost killed by her former boss, Commander Garnet Curran (the leader of the Mandalorian Protectors) during the 4th Battle of Stewjon. However, she and her daughter Northa did successfully kill Curran.
        • Helun's death ultimately happened at the hands of Curran's subordinates. Helun's daughter Northa then avenged her mother's death by killing them as payback.
      • Major conflicts/bounties she took part of:
        • Battle of Mandalore (409 ABY): she was paid for planning the battle, and for successfully completing her assignments for the battle.
        • Battle of Lothal (410 ABY)
        • Battle of Stygeon Prime (412 ABY)
        • Battle of Dathomine (413 ABY)
        • Battle of Saleucami (417 ABY)
        • Battle of Dorin (424 ABY)
        • Battle of Geonosis (444 ABY)
        • Battle of Hottooine (445 ABY)
        • Battle of Stewjon (446 ABY)
        • 3rd Battle of Dathomir (447 ABY)
        • Battle of Jakku (448 ABY)
        • 4th Battle of Stewjon (470 ABY): After successfully killing her rival and former boss Garnet Curran with the help of her daughter Northa, Helun was killed by Curran's subordinates.
Northa Solaris (420 ABY Denon - 501 ABY Corellia)
  • She was the daughter of Helun Solaris, and was born in 420 ABY, in the city of Mispols, on Denon.
  • Just like her mother, she worked for the Togruta Empire.
  • She was the second best bounty hunter in the galaxy by the time she was twenty-seven years old (That year, 447 ABY, Helun and Northa both participated in the 3rd Battle of Dathomir that year, which the Republic won).
  • During the 4th Battle of Stewjon (470 ABY), Northa and her mother killed Commander Garnet Curran, who was the leader of the Mandalorian Protectors at the time. Northa quickly avenged her mother's death by killing all of the Protectors who together murdered her mother.
  • After the death of her mother in 470 ABY (on Stewjon, a battle that Northa also participated in), she became the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. She held claim to this title until her death in 501 ABY on Corellia
    • Northa Solaris died during the 13th Battle of Corellia. That was the biggest battle of a series of simultaneous battles that destroyed the Togruta Empire for eternity at the hands of the Galactic Republic.
      • Description of death: During the latter part of the 13th Battle of Corellia, Northa successfully killed well over 100 clone troopers and a Jedi, using her blasters, flamethrowers, and rockets. As she was about to kill Clone Commander Noorman, CommanderGlaxx Nawder used Force Pull on her, to pull her out of the sky. The two bickered for a minute while Solaris held her helmet. After she placed it back on, the two began to duel. During the duel, Northa reminded Nawder that her armor was nearly impregnable, just like most Mandalorians' armor, due to the fact that it was made of the extremely strong Beskar (aka Mandalorian Iron). Nawder responded to her by stating that his armor was also made of Mandalorian Iron. The duel continued, with Solaris constantly firing at Nawder, and Nawder, constantly repelling shots with his lightsaber. Then suddenly, Nawder seized an opportunity, and once again Force Pulled Northa out of the sky, this time causing her to land on her back, banging her jetpack. She quickly dropped the jetpack, and jumped out of the way as it exploded. Then, she fired a flamethrower at Nawder, who jumped above the flames avoiding injury. When he landed, Northa opened fire on Nawder, who quickly pulled out his lightsaber, blocking the shots (some shots even bounced off Northa's near-impregnable armor). After a few moments, Nawder was directly next to Northa, and knocked her to the ground, kicked her helmet off, and pointed his lightsaber at her neck. "It's finished Solaris! Surrender," Nawder insisted. She simply replied "NO!" She then pointed her right blaster at Nawder with the trigger pulled back. With no choice but to protect himself, Nawder focused his attention on Northa's right hand. In one fellow swoop of his lightsaber, Nawder cut off Northa's right hand (to dispose of the blaster danger), and then cut through Northa's armor, killing her.
    • Major conflicts/bounties:
  • Between the money she inherited from her mother and the money she made on her own, she had earned about AurebeshSans-Serif credit1,200,000,000 credits
    • She was never as effective as a bounty hunter as her mother was. Nevertheless, she was still so successful that she was the best bounty hunter in the galaxy for thirty one years. This time period was from her mother's death in 470 ABY, until her death in 501 ABY.
Ofal Solaris von Forliul (496 ABY Denon - 543 ABY TBD)
  • His mother's family was the Solaris family, so their homeworld was therefore Denon. His father's family on the other hand was from the planet Tragigon, and moved to Denon in 490 ABY.
    • Many people were upset that Ofal's mother married an outsider to Mandalorian culture, despite the fact that both families were living on Denon at the time.
    • Forliul proved that despite the fact that he was a naval officer, he still followed many aspects of Mandalorian culture. Therefore, he figured out ways (sometimes subtle ways) to mix the fighting methods, tactics, and strategies that the Solaris' taught him while growing up, with the military tactics, strategies and other fighting methods, that the Red Empire's naval Academy taught him.
    • Ofal's parents agreed that since Clan Solaris was the most powerful Mandalorian clan in league with the Red Empire, that the name Solaris had to stay in the future generations. However, they wanted the Forliul last name to also be passed down, so they stuck the name von Forliul after the name Solaris on purpose.
    • After Ofal's cousins Haedus and Ketsge Solaris acquired the ownership of the Solaris Family Palace from their parents, they designated one of the massive private wings of the Palace to their cousin Ofal. He was the only individual who was allowed to sleep in that wing of the Palace.
  • Forliul was the greatest naval mind of his time, and one of the all time greats in terms of naval battles in galactic history.
    • He became an admiral in the Red Empire's Navy in 520 ABY, thereby joining the Red Empire's High Command. He held that rank until his capture during the Battle of Quermia
    • In 528 ABY, he was still the greatest naval mind the galaxy. However, since he had been imprisoned in the military wing of Coruscant's Prison Cells, he had to wait for his cousins Haedus and Ketsge to rescue him, in order to rejoin his comrades on the field of battle.
  • Grand Admiral Story: In 527 ABY, the Red Empire gave the imprisoned Forliul the honorary rank of Grand Admiral. He of course was ineligible to receive the physical promotion at the time, due to being locked up in a cell on Coruscant. Nevertheless, since he was so much better at his job than any other admiral in the Red Empire that came before or after him, that Darth Terix, the Emperor/Sith Lord of the Red Empire, therefore gave him the rank of Grand Admiral. The Empire then also firmly stated that the Grand Admiral uniform was never going to produced again by the Red Empire, an that if Von Forliul was released before his death, he would be in command of all of the Red Empire's starfleets, as the one and only Grand Admiral of the Red Empire. However, despite this claim, the Empire did in fact officially give the rank to Tiberius Maxsheerio in 428 ABY following his victory on Kuat. Later that year, Forliul was in fact rescued by his cousins, legendary bounty hunter duo Haedus and Ketsge Solaris, during the 1st Battle of Coruscant. Forliul was therefore formally given his official promotion to Grand Admiral in the aftermath of the Battle (i.e. early 529 ABY).
  • Major Battles he fought in (with outcomes):
    • Battle of Quermia (522 ABY): Forliul brought a small fleet of ten Red Empire Star Destroyers to Quermia. Knowing how talented he was, he knew that would be a large enough fleet to win the battle if the Republic did not bring a fleet of its own into battle. Unfortunately for Forliul, the Republic was contacted about Forliul's invasion fleet. They sent a massive fleet (hundreds of star destroyers, with thousands on the way), before the Empire's main fleet was able to arrive. Therefore, even a military genius like Forliul could not match the power of the Republic's fleet. All ten of Forliul's Star Destroyers were decimated in less than a minute, and its Fighter Droids (droids for space battle) within two minutes.
      • During the midst of the destruction, Darth Mirun and Forliul ordered that all survivng personnel should head to the escape pods. During the escape, The Republic destroyed any escape pod that did not have anyone on board (this means that any pods with droids in them were also destroyed). The pods with troopers in them, including the one that Forliul was in were captured by the Republic's fleet and starfighter squadrons. The only individuals who successfully evaded capture by the Republic were Darth Mirun, Commander Barx Bensun, and a platoon of Royal Guard Droids, who managed to get onto Mirun's Stealth Porba Class Shuttle in time, and make their way to the surface below.
      • After capture, Forliul was brought onboard Admiral Urvin Quidlik's flagship, the Quiver, for questioning. After Quidlik finished questioning his adversary, Forliul was transferred to a different Venator Class star Destroyer, and brought to the miltary wing of the Prison Cells on the Republic's capital planet of Coruscant.
    • 1st Battle of Coruscant (528 ABY): The primary reason that the Red Empire wanted to invade Coruscant was naturally to capture the Republic's capital. Through this, they hoped that they would make the Republic fall apart from within. One of the secondary reasons the Red Empire wanted to invade Coruscant was to rescue Forliul from imprisonment in the Republic's Prison Cells. Forliul's cousins Haedus and Ketsge Solaris (see below for details) were designated the leaders of the attack on Prison Cells and rescue of Forliul.
      • During the battle, Haedus and Ketsge led the 75 million Mandalorians from the city of Mispols (including the Mispols Mandalorian Army) on Denon, to the Prison Cells on Coruscant's surface. From there, they broke into the enormous building, ran through the hallways all the way across the building, until they made it to the ray-shielded room that bordered the military wing of the Prison Cells. After breaking into an killing all the guards in this room, they broke into the physical military wing and freed all ninety-five Red Empire Officers that were imprisoned during the Battle of Quermia including Forliul. Haedus and Ketsge were able to bring fifty-six officers including Forliul to safety on Admiral Hassbree Cusbli's flagship the Rampager (an Emperial Class Super Star Destroyer). (The other 39 officers were all killed during the rescue)
        • During the latter part of the 1st Battle of Coruscant that occurred after his rescue, Forliul and Maxsheerio co-led the Red Empire's fleets that were invading and blockading Coruscant. However, Forliul was able to overrule Maxsheerio's commands. This was because despite the fact that Maxsheerio technichally outranked him since he was the Grand Admiral, while Forliul was "just" an Admiral, Forliul was in actuality the better admiral.
Haedus Solaris (born 495 ABY Denon)
  • She was born the Solaris Family Palace, at the edge of the Imperial Mandalorian colony of Mispols
  • She was the best bounty hunter in the galaxy from (526 ABY - __) and worked almost exclusively with her little brother Ketsge on bounties.
    • Of the two siblings, she was the leader.
  • After the death of her grandmother Northa Solaris when she was six years old, her father became the owner of the Solaris Family Palace until Haedus and Ketsge finished their training. At that point, their father passed the ownership of the Family Palace to his young and powerful children.
  • She and Ketsge were partially trained by their parents (who unlike their grandmother and great-grandmother were not warriors, and therefore did not wear Mandalorian armor). Instead, it was primarily their aunts and uncles who taught them how to fight.
    • Haedus and Ketsge's father was the son of Northa Solaris.
  • Haedus married Mik Dorsul in 530 ABY. After the marriage, Mik became Mik Solaris since the Solaris family was a more powerful Clan than the Dorsul Clan.
    • Haedus and Mik had three children (all born in Mispols): Satine Solaris (female, born 531 ABY), Miiku Solaris (male, born 534 ABY), Talilia Solaris (female, born 536 ABY)
      • In the long run, Talilia, became the most prominent of Haedus' children. In other words, she eventually became the General of the Mispols Mandalorian Army (aka Denon Mandalorian Army)
      • Satine eventually became a successful bounty hunter. She was never one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy. Nevertheless, she was known to be a major threat as a bounty hunter.
  • Haedus was the first cousin of Ofal Solaris von Forliul.
  • Major conflicts/bounties she took part of she took part of:
Ketsge Solaris (born 499 ABY)
  • He was born in the Solaris Family Palace, at the edge of the Imperial Mandalorian colony of Mispols.
  • He was the little brother of Haedus Solaris, and was the second best bounty hunter in the galaxy, with Haedus being the best.
  • After the death of his grandmother Northa Solaris when he was two years old, his father became the owner of the Solaris Family Palace until Haedus and Ketsge finished their training. At that point, their father passed the ownership of the Family Palace to his young and powerful children.
  • Ketsge and Haedus were partially trained by their parents (who unlike their grandmother and great-grandmother were not warriors, and therefore did not wear Mandalorian armor). Instead, it was primarily their aunts and uncles who taught them how to fight.
    • Haedus and Ketsge's father was the son of Northa Solaris.
  • He married Victuia Eldar in 529 ABY. (Victuia is based off the name Victoria.) She became known as Victuia Solaris from that point on, due to the fact that the Solaris family had a higher status than that of the Eldar family on Denon.
    • Ketsge and Victuia had two children: Helun Solaris II (female, born 529 ABY), Micuul Solaris (male, born 532 ABY)
      • Helun Solaris II was of course named after her legendary bounty hunter great-great grandmother Helun Solaris. Helun Solaris II eventually became the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. Due to her status, she was the next owner of the Solaris Family Palace, after her father and aunt.
      • Micuul's name is based off the name Michael.
  • He was the first cousin of Ofal Solaris von Forliul.
